  14. This is AOL version 3.0i for Windows 3.1, 3.11 and Windows 95 (16-bit), revision 116.175, released on 22nd May 1997.

  16. To download and install this AOL software:
  17. (You may wish to print this document for later reference by selecting "Print" from the "File" menu at the top of your screen.)

  19. 1.  Click the "Download Now" button below.  (Or click "Download Later" to store the file in your Download Manager for download at a later time.)

  21. 2.  A dialogue box opens, asking you where to save the file.  Make a note of what it says under "Directories".  This is the directory on your hard drive in which the file will be placed.  Click "OK" to start the download.

  23. 3.  The download should take approximately 20 minutes on a 28.8kbps modem.When the file has finished downloading, sign off from AOL and exit from the software.

  25. 4. In the Windows File Manager (or Explorer, if you're using Windows 95), locate the file you just downloaded (SETUP.EXE) and double-click on it. This will install the new AOL client software. It will pick up your settings from your previous version, including your screenname(s), modem settings and any artwork you've downloaded.

  27. 5. You are now ready to run your new version of AOL!  If you wish to delete the older version, then you should restart Windows first, then simply delete the directory containing the older version.
